The Driftwood Man: A Weird Seaside Horror Novella on Amazon Kindle Unlimited
Chris Burton: The Driftwood Man
It was a special day. Something under the surface was about to wake—for the last time.
Dear People, my brand new weird sea horror novella called THE DRIFTWOOD MAN is now available on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited, in paperback and ebook formats! 🪼
After an unfortunate accident, Johnny and Luke's fun vacation in Italy turns into a hazy, feverish, seaside nightmare. While Luke desperately tries to find help for his injured and confused friend, ancient forces are at work beneath the surface.
This one is a weird, disorienting, and mystical summer fever dream; an atmospheric and fast-paced sea horror novella set in Sanviero, Sicily. Mysterious, mythical, and a bit disgusting at points. Maybe even funny at times? You tell me.
Who is this book for? Well, the character of The Driftwood Man was inspired by Dead Papa Toothwort from Max Porter's novella "Lanny," so if you're a fan of Max's work, I'd say you'd enjoy this one. Also, if you just enjoy short (103 pages in print), strange, and trippy books in general, or you think the sea is one of the most terrifying things ever, then give this one a shot. 🐙
Okay, but what does it feel like? Got you. Please consult the following mood board:
